Question by wtl3: what snack does Tiger Woods eat while playing in a golf tournament?
i have seen Tiger woods eating some type of snack while playing in a golf tournament and just wondered what it might be. He seems to be pretty low key about it… not sure if it is because of cameras or because it is a snack that he likes and he is not being paid to endorse it….

Tiger quotes from his book “Cahning my eating habits was the hard part. It meant cutting back on my two favborite food groups.( cheeseburgers, fries, strawberry milkshakes) and faster foods(pizza, hot wings, tacos)When i because age I also like to share a beer or two with friends. I hadt to avoid grease and cut out all empty calories,” ” gone are the days where i gobbled down a hamburger at the turn” ” Sport drinks help me avoid dehydration, fruits are a good source of energy, namely apples and bananas, I avoid sugar highs from chocolate during a round. I avoid heavy foods at the halfway house, they make me lathargic. Most deserts are deadly;I substitute fruits and frozen yogurt.” he also eats engergy bars.

New Moon Stars and H&M, Taylor Swift and Target, Oprah and Amazon: All Appropriate Celebrity/Brand Matches According to Millward Brown

New Moon Characters

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 25, 2009

Millward Brown, one of the world’s leading research agencies, today released the following findings about the compatibility of big stars making headlines right now and top brands, including Target, H&M, Mercedes-Benz, Amazon.com, Priceline.com, Gap, and Visa. Millward Brown’s recent Celebrity + Brand study, which these findings are based on, delivers celebrity and brand matches with the best marketplace potential based on consumer ratings of familiarity, affinity and buzz.

New Moon Stars on the Rise: Stewart and Pattinson Match with H&M:

Box office sensations Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, stars of New Moon, which made $ 140 million dollars this past weekend, had similar Cebra (celebrity + brand) scores, according to Millward Brown. Despite ranking in the bottom half of Millward Brown’s list of measured celebrities, their stars are clearly on the rise, just like the Twilight franchise, which continues to break records with the release of New Moon. Stewart, who had an overall Cebra score of 27 (out of 100) was not as “buzz-worthy” as Pattinson, whose Cebra score was 21, but she ranked higher in affinity, likely driving her overall score up. Both celebrities matched with the H&M brand, and Pattinson also matched well with Mercedes-Benz—not surprising given his character Edward’s penchant for luxury automobiles.

Bulls-Eye for Taylor Swift:

Americans wish they knew Sunday night’s big American Music Award winner, Taylor Swift “better,” according to Millward Brown. The Artist of the Year, who has served as a spokesperson for MILK (Got Milk?) and L.E.I. Jeans, would also be a good spokesperson for Target, according to Millward Brown, based on consumers’ ratings of familiarity, affinity and buzz for both the celebrity and the brand.

Oprah Winfrey Stuns the World and Ranks with the Highest Female Cebra Score:

Oprah Winfrey, who on Friday stunned the world with her announcement that she would be discontinuing her show in 2011, maintained that she would do more reading during her retirement. This makes the talk show queen’s match with Amazon.com all the more appropriate. While Oprah earned the highest Cebra score among females, fellow talk-show host and current American Express spokeswoman Ellen Degeneres was not far behind, pairing well with Priceline.com.

Brangelina Makes the Top 10… and Pairs with Gap and Visa:

Americans ranked both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the top 10 celebrities measured by their Cebra score (see below). Pitt, who paired well with the Gap brand, had a higher overall score (71) and ranked higher in all three measures—familiarity, affinity and buzz—than his partner Jolie who had a Cebra score of 66 and paired well with Visa.

Among a cross-section of celebrities measured in the recent Millward Brown launch survey (which included 2,000 U.S. adults, ages 18 to 64), below are those with the highest Cebra Scores:

1) Will Smith

2) Brad Pitt

3) Tiger Woods

4) Oprah Winfrey

5) Denzel Washington

6) Clint Eastwood

7) Ellen DeGeneres

8) Morgan Freeman

9) Johnny Depp

10) Angelina Jolie

About Millward Brown’s Celebrity + Brand Offering and the Cebra Score:

Millward Brown’s Celebrity + Brand solution, which is the first to directly match brand and celebrity equity, measures the power of celebrities and brands by integrating consumer ratings of Familiarity (how much one knows about a celebrity/brand), Affinity (how strongly one likes or dislikes a celebrity/brand), and Buzz (how much “buzz” one thinks a celebrity/brand has) to arrive at a Cebra (Celebrity + Brand) Score. This is combined with a personality matching matrix for identifying brand and celebrity partners with the greatest marketplace potential. The introduction of Millward Brown’s solution provides new opportunities for advertisers, agencies, talent firms and production companies to leverage the power of celebrity and brand partnerships. HotelTravel.com’s Unbelievable List of Things to do in Pattaya by Day

Better: Choice, Content, Value

(PRWEB) November 27, 2009

HotelTravel.com is highlighting another side of Thailand’s most famous city by the sea, Pattaya, with a selection of family friendly activities ideal for a daytime excursions.

Pattaya by day offers visitors a tamer look at a destination that has become infamous for its nocturnal temptations.

According to HotelTravel.com Chief Information Officer, Olivier Dombey, it is now easier than ever to take a break from Pattaya’s bustling nightlife and unique entertainment sector (or even avoid entirely) to discover a different side of Thailand’s number one resort city.

“Pattaya has enjoyed a remarkable transformation during the past decade, its infrastructure has improved dramatically and there is so much to do there. Its nightlight remains the same, but in many ways appears tame in the Internet age.

“Hotels in Pattaya offer some of the best value-for-money rates of any destination in Thailand, with many properties currently enjoying special promotional discounts on HotelTravel.com,” Mr Dombey, said.

HotelTravel.com is pleased to present its list of unbelievable things to do in Pattaya by day:

Find Enlightenment at the Sanctuary of Truth

The Sanctuary of Truth, a monumental structure in north Pattaya, is a colossal carved wooden pavilion featuring the rich architectural heritage and craftsmanship of Thailand. Showcasing the fine points of ancient Thai Buddhist philosophy, this sacred structure is carved in ancient style of the Ayutthaya era. Every inch of the structure is covered with intricate wood carvings down to the finest detail.

Go Tee to Green

Pattaya’s best kept secret is undoubtedly the quality and value of its golf courses; most are championship standard designed by the very best golf architects and designers in the world. All courses provide caddies and there are always kiosks serving cold beverages to ward off the midday sun. When calling for tee times ask about buggy requirements; many golf clubs enforce one golfer per cart rules.

Float Like a Butterfly

Saithip Butterfly Gardens claims to be the largest butterfly garden in Asia, and is a must see excursion for fans of flying insects. There is also a bee museum, orchid farm and a lovely lake in addition to the large butterfly enclosure.

Fight Like a Thai

Pattaya Kombat Village is one of many boxing training camps in the Pattaya area. So shop around to find the right one to suit personal needs (depending if the goal is to fight or get fit). Either way, any new fighting skills are always handy should a gaggle of Pattaya’s infamous ‘Lady Boys’ come prowling.

Stay in Great Hotels

Most of the world’s major international hotel chains have returned to Pattaya during the last decade and the city now boasts some of the best hotels in Thailand. The choice ranges from economy brands to the most luxurious hotels found anywhere in the Kingdom. Log on to HotelTravel.com and check out the Sheraton Pattaya Resort(from US$ 186), Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa (from US$ 163), Royal Cliff Beach Hotel (from US$ 114), Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya (from US$ 104), Mercure Hotel Pattaya (from US$ 66), Asia Pattaya Hotel (from US$ 65), All Seasons Hotel Pattaya (from US$ 60), Sunshine Hotel and Residences (from US$ 37) and the Sawasdee Sea View Pattaya (from US$ 23).***

Talk to the Animals

Khao Kheow Open Zoo, located on the main Bangkok Highway, is another short day trip from Pattaya. The Open Zoo stretches over 400 acres of tropical grounds, showcasing an odd assortment of giraffes, elephants, tigers, lions, and chimpanzees. But the really cool (and slightly hazardous) bit is that visitors can get up close and personal to the beasts and even feed them.

Go Leagues Beneath the Sea

Underwater World Pattaya showcases the rich variety of marine life found around the region. There is a spectacular 100 meter-long acrylic tunnel packed with great shoals of fish, prowling predators and a few handlers swimming about. Visitors can also join in the action and dive with the lot for a small fee.

Coral Island Cruising

Koh Larn is only 30 minutes off the coast by speedboat, and this idyllic island located just west of Pattaya makes for a simple daytrip. Known as Coral Island and covering an area of about four square kilometres, visitors can swim, snorkel , take in the coral on a glass bottom boat or just sunbath doing close to nothing.

Koh Si Chang Adventure

Once favoured by three of Thailand’s former Kings, Koh Si Chang Island’s remaining link to royalty can still be seen in places around the island. Make sure to visit Chao Por Khao Yai, the famous Buddha statue highly respected by local islanders.

Be Indiana Jones for a Day

Take a drive out along Thailand’s East Coast to Chanthaburi, a town famous for its sapphire mines. Start by going deep into the mines and explore, then see how precious stones are polished and cut. Those bold enough often stop by one of the local fish sauce factories along the way, which are often slimy like the creatures in an Indiana Jones movie.

Find a Public House and Chill

If all else fails, exit the hotel and turn left or right. Continue walking straight and anyone will surely not have to travel more than 100 metres to find the local pubic house. Order a frosty cold beverage and drink. Repeat. Continue this process until dusk and then repeat all night long.

***All hotel rates are as of 25 November, 2009, priced in US$ and subject to change.
